What is a Duet?
An outdoor roof that
doesn't close you in.
The Duet combines a motorised waterproof membrane with a custom timber pergola frame. Its distinctive paired posts and rafters provide strength without relying on a heavy beam across the front of your view.
At the touch of a button, the roof extends smoothly along side tracks for shade and rain protection. When the weather clears, it retracts into neat architectural folds beneath its protective cover.

Each roof module can be made up to 5,000mm wide with a projection of up to 6,000mm. Wider spaces are covered by linking modules side by side in double- or triple-module configurations.
The diagrams show typical 4,600mm module bays. Final widths, projection, roof fall, stack depth, drainage and structural support are confirmed for each site.

An open view when you don't.
The Duet can eliminate the need for a fixed front gutter. Instead, a retractable gutter is attached to the leading edge of the roof fabric and travels with the canopy.
When the roof is fully projected, the gutter aligns precisely with the downpipe concealed between the paired front posts, directing rainwater into the drainage system. When the roof retracts, the gutter retracts with it—leaving the front of the structure visually open.

What makes the Duet different? +
The Duet uses paired timber posts and rafters to create a robust pergola frame without the visual weight of a conventional heavy front beam. The result is a cleaner outlook and a more architectural structure.
Is the roof waterproof? +
Yes. The PVC-coated polyester membrane is designed as part of an integrated weather-management system with guttering, flashing and downpipe connections configured for the individual site.
Can it open completely? +
The motorised membrane concertinas back along its side tracks and stacks beneath a protective cover, bringing natural light and open sky back into the space.
Can the frame match my home? +
Yes. Duet frames are custom made in exterior-grade timber and can be stained or painted to complement the architecture, joinery and surrounding landscape.
How large can a Duet be? +
A single Duet module can be made up to 5,000mm wide with a projection of up to 6,000mm. For wider areas, double- and triple-module layouts place multiple roof modules side by side. Final module widths, roof fall, drainage and structure are confirmed for the individual site.
